It's been like this for over 2000 years...! It's nothing new, Mr. Obama. There's nothing new in faith and politics mixing together. Even Catholicism was organized by the government, was THE GOVERNMENT for many centuries used to provoke wars and stupid pious ideas.
Quoted: Sen. Barack Obama told a church convention Saturday that some right-wing evangelical leaders have exploited and politicized religious beliefs in an effort to sow division.

This is what bothers me about European-descent type thinking. They always treat problems as if they are mutually exclusive from everything else. How about consider a bad diet is due to the lack of family time because mommy has to work too to make the payments on the stinkin' house. Masked in the the bullshit of women's rights is a society becoming harder and harder to get by causing other problems such as a bad diet in the family. I see people eating "Healthy Choice," everyday for lunch and dinner, because they have no time to cook. HA.

However, there are still shitloads of people on the road commuting 50-100 miles a day to work with a single person per vehicle. The market works itself out... the price will have to become so high that these people will start taking the bus. It hasn't yet.
Quoted: Nearly half the country thinks near-record gasoline prices will cause serious hardship, prompting ever more people to consider trading their gas guzzlers for more fuel-efficient cars, an AP-Ipsos poll says.

WOW! Now this is a pure catch-22. I donot think there is even a single right answer to deal with this! As Jesus from South Park says, I'm not touching this with a 20-foot pole!
Quoted: A 70-year-old man who had just been discharged from a hospital was sent by taxi to Skid Row, and police and prosecutors were investigating whether it was the latest case of hospitals dumping patients on the street.

uhmmmm WHOA. unbelievable. there are so many ridiculous things this guy says that I don't even know where to start.
Quoted: A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long.
""I'm not a racist...I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else."
Um, sorry dude but anyone who describes himself as having "piles and piles" of black friends is racist. I am pretty sure the phrase "piles and piles" refers to things that are inanimate objects - like paper. not people. so many things wrong here.
