Saw it ... in some ways disturbing, in other ways, not really. All of those kids were tremendously likable. The "they're indoctrinating them!!!" argument is BS in my opinion, everybody indoctrinates their children. When they get older, they'll make their own decisions. In the meantime, they aren't hurting anybody.

That's not to say I agree with politicizing children, or other aspects of the program, I just think there are so many things more legitimate to be outraged about. To spend a moment angry about this is one less spent angry about genocide in Sudan, children working as slaves, etc.

my friends keep telling me i should see this movie, but i think more for the entertainment value than anything else. i used to go to school with a lot of jesus kids in north carolina, and they were the nicest kids i knew. it was a lot of fun talking to them about sex and drugs, sharing alcohol with them, etc.
