US-Meles Zenawi partner in crime???? Please don't disappoint them.
"This is not a punitive bill," he said. Any sanctions would kick in only if Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi’s government does not return to democracy and restore human rights protections.
Quoted: Jul 18, 2007 (WASHINGTON) — Both the Bush administration and Congress are growing exasperated over Ethiopia’s backsliding from democracy but are wary of applying too ...

I wouldn't make a general assertion of that “Ethiopians are stubborn”, which represents 72 million people. "Stubborn" in whose eyes? The detainees are not stubborn rather stood by what they believe and their patriotic act. They are prisoners of consciences and are not off with their heads. There is no fair justice when both the prosecutor and the judge wear the same hat, in this case the Ethiopian government. So much for a democratic government???
Quoted: But Ethiopians are stubborn. Most of the 38 dissidents have refused even to recognise the court's legitimacy or to offer a defence. They may be ...

what defines Pan-Africanism? Will there be a United Nations of Africans when more than ever now Afrcian countries are divided into segments with civil wars. How did we got here...from we Africans (with the inception of OAU) to "me, me, me", my only people?
...Why does this centralized and ‘top-down approach’ continue to thrive in spite of the claims of many African States to have become ‘bottom-up democracy’ (i.e. rule of/by/for/with African peoples)?...
...Let history give real African leaders and peoples intelligible memories and references before they opt for the impossible and repeat the failures. Let it be remembered that Pan-Africanism, OAU and AU were ‘elites-oriented’ and never people’s initiative.Quoted: Examining the duality factor, the Arab countries have been pretending to be members of AU while at the same time members of the Arab League. They do not really care about the plight of black African peoples! They are only after power and resources gains from the green lands of Africa. They cover their skin and hair with black masks to attend AU summits and fill their jars with white milk from a black cow (e.g. Nile Water).

Brothers at War!!! Both countries need to butt out of Somalia...the Ethiopian government Melse Zenawi (for the record first cousin of Eritrean president) and Esayass Afeworki are using Somali for their own geopolitical scheme. Since the early 2000’s both governments have been muscling at the border looking for an excuse to start a war! The irony is that in the loving-days of their relationship, they both were puppets for the US, but in recent years Melse Zwenawi has become the favorite child; which is turning them against each other.
Quoted: Asmara has bitterly condemned the soft and sweet words used by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi, to persuade the international community when he was ...
