Quoted: Gizmodo later confirmed that setting one's clock ahead by at least a year, clicking play on a movie, then coming back to the present will stretch out the time one actually has to watch it, skirting both the 30-day and 24-hour limits.

Watched 300 at the Cinerama last night. This movie benefits from their huge screen.
I found it to be entertaining, well made, and very very violent. There isn't much plot and much of what is there doesn't even matter very much. This seems to bother some people, but I always try to have zero expectations going into a film so it was largely irrelevant for me. It really is simply a graphic novel come to screen.
60% on rotten tomatoes and 8.2 on IMDB. I think this disparity is a good indication that the film polarizes its viewers. I'm giving it an 8.

This movie is currently rated #104 on IMDB, which is suprising to me. I thought that it was good, but I don't know about #104 good. It was directed and edited well, but I didn't find the characters to be very compelling. There are two scenes in which I felt the characters acted in a completely contradictory way to how they had been developed to that point. Maybe it's because there are so many stories happening at once that nobody really gets enough screen time. 7/10

Someone recommended this to me a while ago (I don't remember who) and I finally watched it. I can summarize my opinion: this is a fucked up movie.
It did not go where I thought it was going to go at all. The main character did not evolve the way I thought he was going to. The ending is really creepy and there are some very violent scenes. All of these things made me like it and dislike it at the same time. The acting and directing is top notch.
I can't forget to mention the fight scene between Oh Dai-Su, a hammer and the gangsters in a hallway - it is rediculous.
So yeah, this movie is really fucked up, and I liked it. 9/10 (Superb)

I saw Dead Man's Chest tonight because who can really resist Orlando Bloom AND Jonny Depp? I thought it was pretty silly but still quite entertaining. This is the same way I felt about the first one, so I got what I expected. Unfortunately, this is the reason why I don't think it is quite as good (it doesn't suprise you like the first one did). In summary, go smoke a joint and enjoy the special effects. 7/10 (Good)

This movie is called District B13 over here, and it totally rocks. I saw it a week or two ago in Queen Anne and I know some of the other guys agree about its awesomeness. It is a totally bad ass French action movie based on the sport of parkour. (ever seen those 'crazy russian jumping' videos on youtube? - thats parkour). The action scenes are great, the sound track is amazing, the plot is decent and it is a good length (90 minutes). 8/10 (Great) (Worth of a 9, I have to see it again to really know.)
By the way, they did a crappy job on the poster.

This movie really messes with your head. It's not a happy film at all, but it does't really make you depressed either. In short, it's about the last day the main character (Norton) has before he goes to jail for felony drug charges. You feel bad for him, but he is getting exactly what he deserves, so at the same time you feel weird for feeling bad for him. I walked away from it thinking 'whoa, that was messed up'. All of the actors did a great job, especially Philip Seymour Hoffman. Edward Norton is a favorite actor of mine, and he does not disappoint. 8/10 (Great)

You must be Matthew's friend before you can comment on this Fave.I couldn't agree more! Great, mindless action flick that definitely didn't take itself seriously (ie see anything by Bruce Willis). My favorite line is early on in the bathroom scene: 20 black guys coming chargin in, guns cocked and loaded and the dealer says: "y'all like some Somali n#ggas up in here!" And of course, the scene in Chinatown was so friggin over the top it's bound to be an american pulp classic!
wow - i'm gonna have to check this movie out. that's 3 positive reviews i've seen on blue dot thus far.
That was some crazy plant shit...
Awesome!
Yeeaaah! It's not a typical action movie where you have nothing but mindless fight scenes. The action is mostly Chev rampaging and wreaking havoc everywhere he goes. But what made it so great was all this crazy action being combined with hilariously funny shit
I like Kutta's description - he called it the "Army of Darkness" of action movies.
