I just saw Bill Moyers speak last night. He is such a hero of mine, and he was even more articulate and gentlemanly in person than I imagined. He was promoting this new book of his, about the Christian Right and their fatal threat to the environment. Scary but motivating stuff.

Speaking of books, this is one of the best I've read in a while. Part fictional autobiography, part cook cook, part mystery. The narrator is one of the most hilariously pretentious I've ever encountered. Genius.
