Rep. Mike Castle gets figuratively trampled by a group of Palins at a Town Hall meeting. The subject? Barack Obama's birth certificate and a spontaneous pledge of allegiance.

Lawsuit of the Day: Can I Take Back That One Million Dollar Challenge? - Above the Law - A Legal Tabloid - News, Gossip, and Colorful Commentary on Law Firms and the Legal Profession

Interesting case I guess. Is a throw away comment on Dateline NBC an enforceable contract?

Quoted: Kolodziej--who was a law student at South Texas College of Law at the time--followed the Serrano case. He saw Mason issue the challenge and decided to accept it. He wanted to see if he could prove that the prosecution's theory was correct and that Serrano could have murdered these three people. In December 2007--just after the tenth anniversary of the murders--Kolodziej travelled to Georgia to accept the challenge. He retraced Serrano's alleged route, flying from Atlanta to Orlando, driving to the scene of the murders, then flying back to Atlanta. Kolodziej made the last leg of the journey--from the airplane to the La Quinta--within the required 28 minutes.

Adam "Pacman" Jones seen "making it rain" in video from inside Vegas strip club - ESPN

Pretty interesting story on Outside The Lines. It really fills in the blanks on who was involved and why. The police believe that Pacman Jones has $100,000 in a backpack he brought to the club. He "made it rain" with at least $40,000 (in ones, classy), there was a fracas inside the club and he and his entourage were removed by a bouncer and the club manager *sans* his potentially $60,000 backpack.

Moments later the club manager and two other people got shot.

Quoted: Amateur video reveals Adam Pacman Jones making it rain inside a Las Vegas strip club on a February 2007 night when three people were later shot outside the club.

A 3-D view of Michael Jackson's home arcade. Pretty amazing. Its a flash based 3D Virtual Tour, so it loads a little slow. But its worth it.

Grand Rapids Press sports columnist David Mayo: 'I've come out on the other side' after marijuana conviction - Grand Rapids News - The Latest News, Blogs, Photos & Videos – MLive.com

David Mayo writes a mea culpa for the front page of the GR Press one week ago. I was reminded to dot this because Sunday's (July 12th) GR Press was loaded with conservative West Michigan residents bitching about how this signifies the end times.

Were you high when you picked out this suit?

Quoted: I have learned I am not physically addicted to anything but am predisposed to all manner of mental addictions, dating to childhood. I skipped first grade because I was reading on a ninth-grade level. But I knew nothing more about math or science than any other 6-year-old. I was just addicted to language...

Sarah Palin Speaks to ABC News - ABC News

Man, Sarah Palin is retarded. If her not knowing that there is no such "Department Of Law" at the White House isn't scary enough, her understanding that its job is to "look at some of the things we've been charged with and automatically throw them out" really ought to be enough to silence every Republican for the next 3.5 years.

However the repeated speculation that she is still going to make a run in 2012 leads me to believe that Republicans are willing to scorch the earth if it means they don't have to admit that they were wrong and Prius driving Democrats were right.

Quoted: As to whether another pursuit for national office, as when she joined Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in the race for the White House less than a year ago, would result in the same political blood sport, Palin said there was a difference between the White House and what she had experienced in Alaska. If she were in the White House, she said, the "department of law" would protect her from baseless ethical allegations.

Quoted: "I think on a national level, your department of law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we've been charged with and automatically throw them out," she said.

Michael Jackson's death sparks bus brawl | Oddly Enough | Reuters

    Only in Florida.

News from last Thursday that I had been meaning to share.

Quoted: The bus was moving through the city of North Lauderdale on Thursday when passenger James Kiernan received a text message about Jackson's death on his cell phone, and he read it aloud on the bus, the Broward County Sheriff's Department said. The unidentified bus driver opined that "Michael Jackson should have been in jail long ago," prompting Kiernan, 60, to retort that "the world just lost a great musical talent," the police report said. That last remark enraged another passenger, Henry Wideman, who started a swearing match with Kiernan, then pulled out a knife and chased Kiernan down the aisle with it.

So very very weird. Bobby Jindal, what are you doing about this?

Quoted: Hurricane Chris is honored and then performs on the floor of the Louisiana House of Representatives.

Jackson dies, almost takes Internet with him - CNN.com

Apparently when it comes to certain topics, the internet is one elaborate maze of dominoes.

Quoted: As sites fell, users raced to other sites: TechCrunch reported that TMZ, which broke the story, had several outages; users then switched to Perez Hilton's blog, which also struggled to deal with the requests it received. CNN reported a fivefold rise in traffic and visitors in just over an hour, receiving 20 million page views in the hour the story broke. Twitter crashed as users saw multiple "fail whales" -- the illustrations the site uses as error messages -- user FoieGrasie posting, "Irony: The protesters in Iran using Twitter as com are unable to get online because of all the posts of 'Michael Jackson RIP.' Well done." The site's status blog said that Twitter had had to temporarily disable its search results, saved searches and trend topics.

Michael Jackson, pop music legend, dead at 50 - CNN.com

I would imagine South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford just breathed a considerable sigh of relief.

Quoted: Michael Jackson, the show-stopping singer whose best-selling albums -- including "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" -- and electrifying stage presence made him one of the most popular artists of all time, died Thursday, CNN has confirmed.
