Thats Thomas McCotter (R-MI) from Livonia, Wayne County. Apparently he's missed the last 8 years of fiscal "responsibility" from "conservatives".

Perhaps this might have been useful at a Republican fundraiser or rally, but on the floor of the House Of Representatives I can't imagine what it accomplished.

Quoted: Rep. McCotter took to the House floor to try to translate for the American public in a speech entitled -- "Speaking Democrat:"

Hang in there for 9 seconds and then the video will clear up and John Stewart will show all the Republican backtracking set in motion by Sarah Palin's selection.

Its a shame a real news organization won't actually ask these people for explanations.

Haahahahhahahahahahahaha. The next two days will be like watching people rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic.

    Here is a written transcript:

Murphy: Um, you know, because, I come out of the blue swing state governor world. Engler, Whitman, Tommy Thompson, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, I mean, and these guys, this is all like how you win a Texas Race race, just run it up, and it's not gonna work.

    Noonan: It's Over.
Murphy: Still, McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech and do himself some good.
Todd: Don't you think this Palin pick is insulting to Kay Baily Hutchinson?
    Noonan: Saw Kay this morning
Todd: She's(?) never looked comfortable up there..
    Murphy: all bummed out.
Todd: I mean, is she really the most qualified woman they could turn to?
Noonan: The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives and youthfulness and the picture
Todd: Yeah, but what's the narrative?
    Murphy: I totally agree.
Noonan: Every time Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it.
Murphy: You know what's the worst thing about it, the greatest of McCain is no cynicism, and..
    Murphy: This is cynical.
Todd: And as you called it, gimmicky.

In unrelated news E.D. Hill's show, America's Pulse, has been replaced with an extra hour of Live Desk with Martha MacCallum. She will remain with Fox News in an unspecified capacity.

    Nice half-assed apology there E.D.

I think its officially time to put Detroit in the hands of OCP and Robocop... Shrek!!

Quoted: A Detroit City Council special investigative session into a police whistle-blower lawsuit settlement erupted into a yelling match when President Pro Tem Monica Conyers made claims that she was being disrespected. The argument began when Conyers asked an independent attorney who was testifying if the council could be sued by Detroit residents for approving the $8.4-million lawsuit settlement.

Last time I posted one of these I mentioned the possibility that the McCain girls might actually be Democratic subterfuge intended to make John McCain and his campaign seem ridiculously un-hip. Now I am certain of it. What better way to heal the internal fractures of a brutal primary than to openly mock your opponent with 15 year-old Annie Lennox songs and make it look like his idea.

Quoted: The McCain girls music video for "Here Comes McCain Again."

Honest campaign support? Or left wing viral espionage to make John McCain appear that much more uncool? You be the judge.
