I have a Pinot Grigio that had cleared 1 1/2 months+ ago and is just
passing 5 months old. I’ve been fustrated by it stopping at SG.
of .998. Last week I noticed some lees forming and today I see several
steady streams of bubbles coming off the b...

That seems like a good idea, especially since if you try to pick up a
Better Bottle by the neck it wants to suck in air (and liquid) into
the caarboy if you have a normal air lock. One other (small)
complaint I have with Better Bottles is that they hav...

I’ve received some rhizomes that didn’t appear to have any buds. Has
anyone done any research on what’s required for a root cutting to
throw out some buds? I have too many for the space anyway, so I won’t
    be heart broken if th...

I have a question about the height of my hops. I know they can grow
very tall up to 20 feet or so. Now if I have a 10 foot pole do I cut
the bines when they reach that height? Will that start the side growth
then? Last time I grew years ago I had 8 fee...

Maybe I’ll get some of the Bevlex 222/224-series line and try it
out…see if I can pick up any plastic flavors. I just hate the idea
of leaching toxics like Bisphenol-A or Pthalates out of the Bevlex 200
lines with a high alcohol beer.
