Footballers harvest babies for stem cell 'repair kits' | The Register

    Interesting...

Quoted: Premiership footballers have apparently... jumped on the stem cell bandwagon. The Sunday Times reported this weekend that the overpaid sportsmen are having their newborns' umbilical cords cryogenically frozen in a bid to preserve cells they could later use to repair their knackered knees.

I have been tempted to create my own unofficial cell phone throwing competition on a number of occasions (stupid RAZR...), but it looks like some Finns have gone and made an event out of it. The winner chucked his phone almost 300 feet!

Quoted: Anyone wanting to throw away their mobile phone can do it in style and may even win a medal -- at the Mobile Phone Throwing World Championship, Finland's latest contribution to offbeat athleticism.

    Who says baseball is boring?

I actually remember watching the Nolan Ryan - Robin Ventura clash as it happened. The Chan-Ho Park jumpkick is priceless as well.

    Thanks Derek.

Well, at least the Mariners' management has been consistent in its boneheadedness--it's not just a recent phenomenon.

    Bellevue Golf Course

I played the back nine here this morning with some co-workers. It's a lot nicer than I remember (although it's been 5+ years since I last played it).

    Beware of hole 14, it's a killer.
