    Is Google Making Us Stupid?

The title is blatant dramatization at it's best.

Regardless, the article is pretty good. It talks about how surfing the web could be changing the way, through "practice," we think and absorb information.

How the web's tendency to promote quick transitions, easy information, and skimming text is breaking us of the ability to absorb longer, more in-depth information.

As a test, he makes the article pretty long, but overall it's worth the read.

Course, I must admit....about 3/4 of the way through it, there was some stuff that I found kinda boring...

    ...so I skimmed it.

Yeah, the article makes a good point...but I feel like I've read this argument like 10 times over the past few weeks. It's becoming a pretty popular point of view, and one I agree with, but also one I'm getting bored of hearing. Maybe the web is affecting my attention span, as I'm inclined to skim it, say "so what?" and move on to the next thing in google reader.

already "skimmed" it 3 hours ago, you're gonna have to do better than that!
