US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday announced that the United States has transferred $200 million to the Palestinian Authority in order to help ease a growing budget deficit. The transfer of aid directly to Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salaam Fayyad's budget was an expression of confidence in his fiscal reforms, Clinton said. "The ability of the United States to provide support directly to the Palestinian Authority is an indication of the bipartisan support for the effort to secure the peace in the Middle East, as well as for the fundamental reforms that the Palestinian Authority has undertaken," she said.

The Palestinian Authority will resume violence and terror against Israel when Fatah is "capable," and "according to what seems right," Fatah activist Kifah Radaydeh says in a PA TV interview. She states openly that peace is not a goal for Fatah: "It has been said that we are negotiating for peace, but our goal has never been peace. Peace is a means; the goal is Palestine." Radaydeh says that "armed struggle" has not been ruled out and will continue, depending on how "capable" the PA forces are. This is in line with a rhetorical tactic that has been periodically advanced by Palestinians, including the current Mufti of Jerusalem who has stated that as far as he can tell, "the Jews have no relation to [the Western Wall]," Judaism's holiest spot. It is no exaggeration to say that Palestinians are conducting not just a political campaign, but a "cultural battle" against Israel as a Jewish state. - NATIONAL POST

President Obama and his administration told Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas last week the U.S. foresees the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, according to a top PA official. "Americans said an open Jerusalem – yes. But a united Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty – no," Hatem Abdel Khader, the PA's minister for Jerusalem affairs, said in comments to both WND and Israel's Ynetnews website. - WORLD NET DAILY

At the last minute, four-fifths of the territory was given to Israel's enemies. This betrayal was a devastating blow to the Jewish and Zionist leadership, which now saw the promised Jewish homeland reduced to a sliver. - AMERICAN THINKER
