The fact that this book is for sale in airports at present sort of put me off, but eventually I caved, and I'm so glad. I loved this book! Really great concept, interesting writing, and I was also impressed that a man could so insightfully penetrate the workings of the adolescent female mind.

He has written on a range of environmental topics and was part of the Seattle Times team that won the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting on the Exxon Valdez oil spill. His talk is March 10 at 7 p.m. in Suzzallo Library Room 101. The lecture is free but advance registration is required.
