Quoted: What Obama Has Going For Him
Hipsters. Lots and lots of them. They love Obama. They're educated, they live in their same-sex households, they donate to Obama at a much higher clip than most states, and they're going to wear ironic clothing and send in their permanent absentee ballots for the Democratic candidate for president.

I think the Obama camp would have been happy with a split here, but looks like the opening section on the economy tipped it. I wonder if McCain's original goal with the campaign suspension was to delay the foreign policy debate enough that the economic section would be omitted.
Quoted: The CBS poll of undecideds has more confirmatory detail. Obama went from a +18 on "understanding your needs and problems" before the debate to a +56 (!) afterward. And he went from a -9 on "prepared to be president" to a +21.

You must be Derek's friend before you can comment on this Fave.Nice take. My parents' neighborhood in GR seems to have a lot of similarly situated voters with similar feelings.
dude, this is awesome.
nice
Did I just see a picture of you on Facebook with you and your wife out canvassing?
This pretty well sums up my feelings. Policy-wise, I think I line up a little better with McCain. I have a natural conservative streak. I like most people but, if I had to pick, I'd take rural folks over those from the city--not because they are better, but they are closer to where I come from. I even sorta like Sarah Palin (sorry, Kruse), maybe mostly because she's from Alaska. But right now I think we need Obama and what he represents to so many.
Dianne canvassed, but I only picked her up from headquarters.
Ahhh! Tim, I thought you were one of the (extremely) rare liberal Slagers. My world is shattered! I was considering you for the Black Sheep Club (current members: me, Derek and Tracy Slager). Your application will have to go back into the 'pending' file. Tsk, tsk.
It sounds like the qualifications for membership in the BSC have changed since its inception...? Clearly, being Dutch is no longer a litmus test against induction! ;-)
If I can get a BSC application form for Dianne, she's probably better qualified than I. I might qualify for a different BS club...
First rule of BSC is the rules never change. Heritage never had anything to do with eligibility. I think Dianne would make a fine candidate. I'm also looking at Eunice for 2009.
Ah. My mistake. ;-)
