ESPN.com - NBA - Sonics owner taking 'really hard' look at Vegas

Regardless of what you think of the Sonics' situation, this quote is funny.

Quoted: "They already have a place to play. It's nice. There are no potholes in the court there. Every player has health care. They all had the opportunity to go to college. Let's get real here," Chopp told the Seattle Times editorial board. "If they want to [build a new arena], we're not stopping them. They can pay for it themselves."

Sonics fire coach Bob Hill, remove Sund as general manager - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

A Seattle team axes the head coach and GM, but it ain't the M's (yet).

Quoted: The Seattle SuperSonics began overhauling their basketball operations on Tuesday, firing head coach Bob Hill and removing Rick Sund as general manager following one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Seattle went 31-51 in Hill's only full season as head coach, the Sonics' worst record since they finished with an identical mark in 1985-86. - National Basketball Association news

The Seattle Times: Sports: Team removes head coach Bob Weiss

Looking forward to reading Steve Kelley's next column, since he's been a Weiss hater (MacMillan misser) all year.

Quoted: The Sonics removed Bob Weiss as their coach this morning, and made assistant coach and former NBA head coach Bob Hill as interim coach.

yikes... apparently Nike reps have confiscated all the tapes which show LeBron James getting dunked on by a college Sophomore.

Quoted: On Monday night, a pair of videographers recorded Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunking on James during a pickup game. After James allegedly huddled with Nike executive Lynn Merritt, the tapes were confiscated.
    ...
Thou shalt not dunk on the King and live to YouTube about it. Predictably, Nike came to James' rescue and insisted the tapes were commandeered only because videotaping pickup games after hours is against policy. It has also been suggested that James, who recently underwent facial surgery and is probably not in game shape, would be more concerned about his conditioning level than the dunk.
