Patent Trolls Lurk in Supreme Court Case

The RIM case really got to me. I hope Congress & the Courts can find a balance between protecting IP to encourage invention while preventing patent trolling. After all, the point of a patent is to reward the inventor with a monopoly to encourage commercialization of something presumably useful for society. I think there should be some sort of a clause that allows the company infringing on a patent to avoid an injunction or punitive damages if they can reasonably show that the patent owner had no intention of commercializing their IP. This is a very complicated issue.

Quoted: Updated: News Analysis: In a major patent fight now before the U.S. Supreme Court, eBay and other high-tech companies seek to disarm so-called patent trolls.

    A Gravitational Power Plant??

This page is by my dad's friend. His theory is that gravity is responsible for sustaining life. He claims to have constructed a device that can 'spontaneously' heat water with gravity and no other inputs.

While I think there may exist some sort of 'ambient' energy from gravity, many claims this guy makes seem dubious.
