None of the other "free" ones turned out to be free. I used this on my laptop and it improved it significantly, although not as much as a total reformat (but this is a lot easier than formatting the HD).
I didn't see any other ones recommended on Blue Dot so this will have to suffice for all the other Blue Dotters out there (no apologies to those who think "faves" is an improvement!)

Interesting analysis of browsers. A must read for heavy browser users!
Quoted: NEW YORK -- Google Inc.'s new Web browser, called Chrome, does much of what a browser needs to do these days: It presents a sleek appearance, groups pages into easy-to-manage "tabs" and offers several ways for people to control their Internet privacy settings.

Ma Bell just can't get over the pain of not being a monopoly anymore. Sounds like the old "I'm going to take my toys and GO HOME" sort of language in a business sort of way.

One small step for mankind, one large jump for Open Source software.

Interesting article about Jane's and my chosen community. It doesn't talk much about Snohomish, but Monroe is mostly "our town" anyway.
Towards the end of the article David Hose, the muralist, is mentioned. We've commissioned him for 2 projects in our office, one of them being a 12' x 15' mural of an early survey party. He is soooooo good!

Knol (from Google).
This is like Wikipedia with a major difference - it has to be "signed" and nobody else can revise it or change it. So it's like Wikipedia in reverse.

Jane and I sat on the outside deck at Suncadia last week and listened to Eric and Geoffrey Castle perform. The full harvest moon was coming up behind them and we were enjoying the clear skies, a glass of wine (or 2) and generally mellowing out. If you get a chance to see/hear either of them (especially together) you won't be disappointed.
They were playing for a Kia function which we crashed :)
