I'm going vegan! I don't have any real good reason to do it, other than the fact that I've never done it. So, why not?
Seyi said it'll be something to do for Lent. But I'm not Catholic! "So what," she said. "Good point", I reflected, "After all, I celebrate Christmas."
"Ok, I'll go vegan for Lent. Why not?" I replied, excited.

Quoted: Given that triclosan can also form the probable human carcinogen chloroform when exposed to chlorinated water, you may take pause lathering up with that antibacterial soap next time you shower. (Never mind the fact that triclosan has been found in rivers or that it can concentrate in fish tissues to be eaten by us later.) So what should you choose? Avoid soaps, body washes and other bathroom products (including towels!) that advertise themselves as "antibacterial" or "antimicrobial." The majority of products so labeled include triclosan or the similarly problematic compound triclocarban.

In the study of a basket of foods in Cardiff, transport amounted to only 2% of the total environmental cost. Growing conditions, packaging and processing made up the bulk of the impact. In fact, a separate article in the same journal shows that local food systems actually have slightly higher carbon emissions!

Quoted: The premise behind a Shiki Futon is not to be a cheap alternative to a bed but rather to be a complete sleep system. However, your level of desired comfort depends on a number of factors. The most important factor when considering how much of the sleep system to purchase is what you are sleeping on now.

Where to buy in Seattle
Quoted: It all signaled one thing: eco-fashion was bigger than a passing trend. It was a movement, a subtle shift in the fashion paradigm (and not a grain of granola in sight). The most significant change, from the greenie fashionista’s perspective at least, has been the explosion of independent, fashion-forward designers working with sustainability in mind.
