Could be another great HBO series, and a nice thing for the area, assuming it's filmed here. I liked the book a lot.

Quoted: Actor-producer Rita Wilson will be in charge of developing a one-hour series out of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Jeffrey Eugenides novel, "Middlesex."

Quoted: HBO has not commented yet on whether the series will actually be filmed in Detroit, but going off of recent trends (the network's new series "Hung" was filmed in the metro area), there's a good possibility.

I had assumed that Chef Symon didn't spend a lot of time here, but apparently that's not the case (or it is, but he hides it well). Nice interview.

I've noticed a lot of senior-aimed health and personal finance shows on PBS over the last couple years that appear to be absolute crap. I just want decent shows back, really, but it would be better if they weren't duping the elderly with false science too.

There is an awful lot of coverage of the McFlurry issue. Apparently they are denying that they were paid for it. Whatever. But no one, that I've seen, is discussing the blatant, earnest, and old-fashioned product placement of the iPhone, which was worse.

Law Blog - WSJ.com : NBC Sued for Suicide of Alleged Pedophile Prosecutor

A sad and interesting case. The judge in the case denied NBC's initial motion to dismiss. I remember reading about this when it happened - apparently a lot of law enforcement personnel involved with the show have had problems with the way things are handled.
