Well, that was easy.
Quoted: It seemed the Tigers biggest infield surprise of the night had come from Ramon Santiago. He started at second base and hit his first homer in five years to finish off the Tigers’ three-homer third inning in their 10-2 win over Texas.
Quoted: Effective immediately, Cabrera is the first baseman and Guillen is the third baseman.

Quoted: [O]n the matter of tempting fate.... I regret to say I'm NOT doing my part; in fact, I'm thinking of getting a Tigers Old English 'D' tattoo. Now, you might say, well, what if the Tigers go on another 20-year ass-sucking binge? To which I say, did I attend multiple Tigers games during a season when Randall Simon was named team MVP? I did.

I had a premonition about what the conclusion of this article would be. I'm not sure if I agree with the author or not.
Quoted: Whoa! Against that motley crew our projection for Bonds suggests he'd come first in every category. Ignoring the fact that Bonds' age-43 production would likely be historically awesome, he'd almost hold his own against the fraternity of 20-something-year-old sluggers, like Prince Fielder and Ryan Howard.

Lots of debate about who should play 3rd next year. Some compelling arguments on both sides, but it looks like Inge will be gone and Cabrera will be the everyday starter at 3rd. And deep in the comments, this gem in response to the old D&D/mother's basement line about metrics:
Quoted: Whatever you feel on this subject; ‘Dungeon’s and Dragon’s Sabermetrics is restaurant quality comedy. ez, i’m tempted to send you my mike heath autographed batting glove as praise. Seriously, we are, mostly, grown men spending hours debating who is a better 3rd basemen on a baseball team. There is an element of D&D going on here. And I am a proud practicioner! And I appreciate Bilfer’s fine work.
One other thing: Trade Maybin!

Look forward to big things at 5th/3rd next year from Rick Porcello:
Quoted: “He can do things with his fastball: sink it, run it in, ride it. He is far, far advanced beyond just about anyone 18 years old I’ve ever worked with.”
Quoted: “I don’t know what he’ll pitch at, but he hit 97 (mph) numerous times and worked comfortably at 94-95,”
BTW, does anyone know what "ride it" means in that context?

I was secretly pleased that we had a good excuse to let Rogers go elsewhere, but I guess now we'll be overpaying by slightly less than we might have if Boras was in on the deal.
Quoted: Rogers has dismissed Boras and now is representing himself in contract negotiations, multiple baseball sources confirmed Friday afternoon.
