How to Organize Your Digital Photos

Nothing is more frustrating than the idea of investing both time and money into a project in which you don’t get the results you wanted. In photography this holds especially true as you are trying to capture the most important moments in your life.

No matter how hard you may try, many times a photograph is just not what you had in mind when taking the picture. The image may be too large, off in color, too dark or bright. But what can you edit in your picture, and how do you go about making the changes with the digital photograph software available?

In a lot ways digital photography is more convenient than film photography. Films cameras require an expensive processing lab to make even the slightest adjustments to the image.

I got an email this morning from a relative of mine. He had attached some vacation pictures, and I knew it would be my family obligation to check them out. So I clicked on the attachment and suddenly a massive head dominated my computer screen.

One issue I had when I was new to editing photos was when I tried to add little improvements to my raw photos. Maybe the lighting could be better, or it would look better if it was slightly rotated.

Raster images are stored in a computer in the form of a grid of picture elements, or pixels which contain the image's color and brightness information. The image can be enhanced in many ways by utilizing image editors to change these pixels. The pixels can be modified as a group, or individually, by the complex algorithms within the image editors.
