Beautiful drawings of climbing/camping equipment as architectural elements with an exploration of how they could be used in different scenarios.

Beautiful minimalist kitchen concepts from Denamrk. The all-in-one may be a good option if I remodel the basement to be a mother-in-law.

A great idea. A room with a large garage door opening to the outside. The couches are on wheels so that they can anywhere...

Lovely vacation project home in New Zealand, cleaved down the middle to collect rainwater and with thick concrete floors acting as a passive solar heat sink.

I like the idea behind this tv easel stand but as any theater buff knows, getting the angle right is an important consideration. It doesn't look to me that this tv stand will be able to get the tv perpendicular to line of site from a couch.

You must be Eric's friend before you can comment on this Fave.Michael Pollan rocks in every way.
Have you guys read "A Place of My Own"? Great book.
It's been on my 'want to read' list for a long time, but I just added it my Amazon wishlist to buy soon. Thanks for the recommendation!
I haven't read it but I'm adding it to my Wish List this morning as well...
Really loved that book and his two latest (botany of desire and omnivore's dilemma. First one about gardening through seasons was instructive and poetic.
Glad that he came for a fishbowl.
Has anyone read his new one "in defense of food" ?
It's on my Kindle waiting to be read :)
my wife is reading his latest and seems to like it.
BTW, Eric, the dangerous part of "Place of My Own" is that it will give you the urge to build your own. I took off a year to build our Twisp place. And I blame Michael Pollan. I also eat a lot more expensive yuppie organic food. And for that I also blame Michael Pollan. He may be good for your health but not for your wallet.
@ChrisWei: Point well taken, but it would have to be one hell of a book to convince me to even attempt building my own place...
