New iPhone software = tough gap for Blackberry to close. We can fight over which hardware is better (I do like keyboards) but there is no denying that iPhone software is superior and is building a huge developer lead in applications.
We have tons of people at work here at Amazon trying to track incoming iPhones to get them when they hit stores. A crew just left for Bellevue square a few minutes ago. I've never seen that for any Blackberry device.

Some critical questions already with the new iPhone SDK. Will Apple allow Amazon to create an app to purchase and upload Amazon MP3's? Can I listen to my Rhapsody subscription? Can Apple come up with something that will allow an app to run in the background - like messaging. It seems stupid to have to keep my IM open all the time in order to receive messages.

For iPhone owners, the slides form this power user forum are great and include lots of tips and tricks I had no idea were possible. It will save a lot of trial and error.
BTW, the original download is capped so you need to hit the mirror site for the preso.
