See you later, hard drives! Bring on flash! (Disclaimer: I know were not there yet but the entry into the market of the first commercial machines without hard drives is quite prescient.)
Quoted: Samsung Electronics said Tuesday that it will launch two mobile computers in early June that will do away with hard drives altogether, replacing them with 32 gigabytes of NAND flash memory. The notebooks will be the first to use flash memory as the main storage device.

I think the new Samsung laptops are quite nice looking. I'd like to see them in person. It'd be nice if mainstream PCs took a little while to focus on some decent design. Alienware and Voodoo make nice machines but they're so expensive.

The DirectTV player is pretty cool but what's even cooler is that the screen is showing a big picture of Mt. Shuksan from right here in the North Cascades! Booyah! Washington represent.
