I just love that Disney is getting back to experimentation with new digital distribution. This article at the Wall Street Journal looks at the Disney decision to give away more downloadable show content from several angles and points to the fact that it could hurt local stations most of all.
(NOTE: Normally, the WSJ requires a login/password. This one does not as it was a "free feature.")

Pretty big news from Disney. What a difference since Eisner left, eh? Steve Jobs and Bob Iger are taking the company into the digital age at breakneak speed.

I think Apple taking over Disney would be very interesting and very lucrative (in the shorter term). I'm a Disney shareholder and an Apple fan. I think this move would make sense as it allows Disney to draft off a technical leader, especially in Hollywood (with Pixar a clear winner). eric | Shared With: Everyone - Sep 21 2005 | DIS, investment, newsI own stock in Disney, which is unfortunately down 15% since my purchase earlier this year. Good to see that things are looking up. The China play is, I think, really promising as well as the growth of ESPN.
Quoted: Disney stock is in the dumps, but with a new Hong Kong park and Iger taking charge, it's time to buy.

Quote: The Walt Disney Co., along with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, recalled about 12,900 red sunglasses sold at Disney theme parks, resort because the paint in them contains high levels of lead.
