This Klimt painting has a pretty fascinating history (as do many precious objects). Confiscated by the Nazis, the Austrian government and later bequeathed to Austria, the surviving family just sued Austria for possession - and won. Now they've sold the keystone piece to Lauder for $135 million.
Quoted: Cosmetics magnate Ronald S. Lauder paid the highest sum ever for a painting for Gustav Klimt's 1907 portrait "Adele Bloch-Bauer I."

I couldn't agree more.
1 FaverViewed: 2 TimesQuoted: Poor Tiger Woods. After carefully controlling his image for nearly 15 years as a international celebrity (he was actually on "The Mike Douglas Show" when he was 2, already showing off his golf swing), Woods probably figured that the media might cut him some slack when it came to explaining -- or actually not explaining -- what happened in the wee hours of Nov. 27 when he crashed his car outside his Florida home.
