    Christopher Hitchens outline his thoughts on voting for Obama. In a nutshell, he's over-rated but McCain has shown erratic judgment (especially in his selection of Palin as a VP pick) and recent dishonesty. McCain doesn't appear to be learning much from his errors.

    Katrina Vanden Heavel precisely summarizes my feelings on McCain's attempts to duck the debates. What sort of a future president runs on a platform of suspending democracy whenever he feels he needs to lurch from one emergency to the next? McCain is exhibiting terrible judgment and a severe case of political myopia, but what does one expect from a Presidential hopeful who hand selected Palin as a running mate?
