Video podcasting to be supported by tivo in March. I just love when something I bought gets better and better without me having to do anything.

Getting shows off your tivo and onto a mac or ipod. The Tivo series 3 was not approved with tivotogo which exists on the series 2. Major bummer that we have to resort to the command line to get this all done now.

Update: just found that tivo series 3 is getting tivotogo in November. I'll stop my whining until I see what sort of DRM it comes with!

I may have to use my Amex points to get a Tivo 3 so I can hook up with the Amazon download service. I like the idea of never having to buy DVDs again yet still having access to them digitally.

This is a really great article on the phone industry and how they pay a lot of lip service to the word innovation and yet are geared in ways that make acheivement of that objective impossible. It's a sad little history lesson about an industry built around competition rather than value creation and new thought.
