This is precious. Cal's rally committee created a fake co-ed who had IM conversations with Gabe Pruitt, USC's starting guard, in the week leading up to a big rivalry match-up. How embarrassing to know that the whole crowd knows everything you said to a girl you thought was a hottie you were going to meet up with after the game! Yikes!

I went with my friend (username: notgnirrac) to Pike's Street Brewing Company and caught the 2nd through 4th quarters of this game. This was easily one of the most spectacular colleg football games I have ever seen and the heroes from both teams put up some absolutely ridiculous numbers (Texas quarterback Vince Young threw for 269 and rushed for 200).

But here's the kicker, I called Texas as the winner of this game a week ago. Will somebody please give me a gold star?

Interesting article on this year's USC Trojans. The article basically claims that the hyperbole surrounding this year's team is hype. In investing, this phenomemnon is know as recency bias and I could not agree more with the assessment. I think the Wednesday evening Rose Bowl is going to be closer than anyone is predicting. I would not be totally surprised if USC were to lose. In which case all of this hyperbole makes for "one of the biggest upsets in college footbowl history." If the spread is larger than 3 points in Vegas, I"d definitely throw some money on the Longhorns...
