    How to Store Coffee

My last batch of coffee spoiled in a sealed container that sat in the sunlight. After seeing lots of people store their coffee in the fridge and/or freezer (which I thought was wrong), I decided to look up the appropriate storage,

The short version of this story? Buy your coffee fresh and keep it in a dark, dry place. Consume it within two weeks of purchase.

    Welcome to Vérité Coffee

Ross and I hit up Verite this morning for coffee and a live KEXP performance by Sera Cahoone. I'd never been to the coffee place before but the cupcakes looked awesome, the coffee was might tasty, and the music was fun.

Sera Cahoone only played 4 songs - which was a bit of a bummer, but hitting Ross's house for OJ, eggs, and English muffins afterwards was a nice way to spend the additional time before work.

All in all, a great way to start a Friday morning.

Seth's Blog: When the story doesn't match

Holy crap. A SINGLE Large Java Frappuccino has 29 packets of sugar and the equivalent of 11 creamers?! Not that I drink those, mind you, but isn't that justa touch overkill?

So says Seth Godin. Don, can you confirm?

All City Coffee > Pioneer Square

Ross and I took a walk up to this coffee shop a few blocks away from Blue Dot headquarters. It's sort of an odd location without much foot traffic but they serve Caffe Vita coffee (pretty darn good), have a beautiful space, wifi, and large works of art. The website states that they're going to start serving beer frin Georgetown Brewery and Rainier soon as well. That's enough to give it the nod to 5-stars for me.

    Recommended.
