Netflix is offering a $1 million dollar prize to anyone that come up with a way to make their movie recommendations better. They claim to have accuracy to within 1-star now (on their classic 5-star system) but they're looking to get down to .75 star accuracy.
Anyone want to take a crack at it?
Quoted: Online DVD rental company Netflix Inc on Sunday announced that it would pay $1 million to the first person to develop software to improve the accuracy of Netflix's movie recommendation system by 10 percent.
