Hulu, run by former Amazonian Jason Kilar, seems poised to make ripples in the online video market. It sounds like a compelling list of features that the tv industry can get behind.
Quoted: OK, I will admit, I was busy sharpening up the knives at BoomTown HQ to prepare for the debut of Hulu this week. Let's just say that I have been dubious that two lumbering media companies--in this case, News Corp. (owner of this site!) and NBC Universal--could make more than a mishmash of premium video, especially given Hollywood's glacial and cloddish approach to the Web. Not so with regard to Hulu, whose name is still arguably as goofy as ever.

Yahoo had a big executive revival event the other day ith a keynote by Steve Jobs.
Quoted: What do you do when you want to inject a little inspiration into a company that needs a lot of it? Do you hold an all-day meeting of top execs where you actually outline specific goals and exhibit better leadership? Do you admit your corporate culture is a little weak and promise to focus on strengthening it? Do you trot out all the senior execs and let them talk about their concrete plans (and, better still, actually prepare them to deliver their spiel with some level of quality)? Do you do some post-lunch touchy-feely group exercises to get people talking? Best of all, if you really want to send things over the top, do you bring out an icon so beloved as to give goosebumps to explain to the troops how he managed to turn his once-beleaguered and now-soaring company around?

The actual article in the "London Times Online." Google is certainly not dodging the question or trying to keep this secret. I still really want to get a Sony Reader.
If only I could navigate my own book library with an ereader and add my titles to carry around digitally, I"d be psyched. You hear that Amazon? You can start by just making available all of those books I've already bought from you...
Quoted: GOOGLE and some of the world’s top publishers are working on plans that they hope could do for books what Apple’s iPod has done for music. The internet search giant is working on a system that would allow readers to download entire books
