Not that I mind the stripped down GUI that OpenOffice is using now but it appears that it will get an Aqua facelift at the Apple Paris Expo next month.
Quoted: Hot on the heels of the recent NeoOffice release, the OpenOffice team has announced that it will be unveiling a native Aqua version of OpenOffice at the Apple Expo in Paris next month. "Until now the software has required that users install the X11 Window System, a graphical interface that lets Unix-based applications work on Macs. The new version of the software won't require X11, and will work just like any other OS X-native application." A pretty screenshot is also available.
