37signals spent a little time with the work of Stéphane Mallarmé today, showing some of his inventive typography and poems which blended the visual, musical, and poetical.

An interesting question which is not fully-explored by the article. It's something I'd like to write mroe about in the future as I've always felt that the way I write at my job has indeed changed the way I write creatively, and usually not in ways that make my writing better.

I got an email today with one of J.D. McClatchy's poems in it. Intrigued, I wanted to learn more. It looks like a very interesting poetry collection.

Dan Rather read a snippet of this poem when he was in town last week. He appeared to get choked up while reading it. I wonder what personal meaning the poem has for him? It's a wonderful poem though, it's even quoted by Gene Wilder in the original "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" movie.
