    Literary Allusions - LOST

Literary Allusions from the TV Show "Lost." I was starting to dig into the allusion of "Our Mutual Friend" from Dickens when I recalled a mention of "Turn of the Screw" as well. Turns out there are many interesting references in the show.

dezeen » Blog Archive » TV Easel by Axel Bjurström

I like the idea behind this tv easel stand but as any theater buff knows, getting the angle right is an important consideration. It doesn't look to me that this tv stand will be able to get the tv perpendicular to line of site from a couch.

The Giants/Pats game this weekend should be huge. Now that they're going to simulcast on NBC and CBS, it will be ginormous.

I had not heard about this. Kiefer Sutherland is going to jail for a total of 48 days, which will be served in a separate stretches of time.

Quoted: "24" star Kiefer Sutherland will serve 48 days in jail, but that is not going to affect production on his hit Fox series. After reaching a deal with prosecutors, Sutherland pleaded no contest Tuesday to a charge of driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. The deal comes a week

Macworld: Feature: Watch and record live television, Page 1

Quoted: DVRs, such as the ubiquitous TiVo and even those nameless boxes that many cable companies provide, have changed the way we record and watch TV. While they do a great job of time-shifting your favorite TV programs, DVRs either tether you to your TV or require extracting and converting content for other uses. But with a Mac-based DVR and a little know-how, you can watch shows on your beautiful Apple Cinema Display.

I searched for this program on TV and haven't been able to find it running anytime soon. There's a nice introductory video on this page though.

Why Apple TV is a dud - June 11, 2007

A negative review of the new Apple TV. I have to admit that I think it's a flawed product as it is right now as well. We'll have to see if Apple has a better v2 up its sleeve or if this is one of those items that will end up killed by other competitors doing it better. Tivo and Comcast are both building compelling experiences in the same space.

Quoted: Let's pause for a moment amid the worshipful buzz before the launch of Apple's iPhone in June to consider the heretical notion that Steve Jobs might be promising more than he can deliver.
