Good wine in a box is coming soon, mark my words. It makes too much sense and reducing the carbon footprint is imperative. For most use cases, the glass bottle is doomed.
Quoted: Wine in a box makes sense environmentally and economically. Vintners in the United States would be wise to embrace the trend that is slowly gaining acceptance worldwide.

Architecturally stunning wineries from around the world. Really worth looking at.
Quoted: from the looks of it there's some kind of race on between wineries across the globe to seek out super-architects willing to design their ultra-funky wine production facility. here are some of the best i've come across.

I drank the 2005 Domaine la Millière Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes Cuvée Unique last night. The nose had heavy strawberry, cherry and gravel. After decanting for about an hour, it opened up beautifully. Well worth drinking again if you have the luxry of NOT doing a pop and pour. It's about as dramatic a change as I've ever tasted in a bottle that was put in the decant.
Quoted: "Intensely spicy aromas of vibrant strawberry and raspberry, underscored by cinnamon and allspice; this smells like an elegant Burgundy. Very sweet but sharply focused on the palate, with mineral-laced red berry and cherry flavors and an intriguing licorice quality building through the finish. A fascinating and very suave wine with impressive balance and persistence.” — Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
