Sam Harris with some of the first real scrutiny of Palin that I've read. He puts his finger on the issues that scare me the most. Frankly, I'm frightened anyone with her "credentials" could even be chosen to run as VP.

A collection of essay on TV's "The Wire." It's one of the best series I've ever seen, assuming you can tolerate highly realistic violence, loads of drugs, and extremely harsh language. The show pulls no punches.
