eric | Shared With: Everyone - Sep 22 2008 | Sam Harris, Sarah Palin, politics
Sam Harris with some of the first real scrutiny of Palin that I've read. He puts his finger on the issues that scare me the most. Frankly, I'm frightened anyone with her "credentials" could even be chosen to run as VP.
Quoted: The prospects of a Palin administration are far more frightening, in fact, than those of a Palin Institute for Pediatric Neurosurgery. Ask yourself: how has "elitism" become a bad word in American politics? There is simply no other walk of life in which extraordinary talent and rigorous training are denigrated. We want elite pilots to fly our planes, elite troops to undertake our most critical missions, elite athletes to represent us in competition and elite scientists to devote the most productive years of their lives to curing our diseases. And yet, when it comes time to vest people with even greater responsibilities, we consider it a virtue to shun any and all standards of excellence. When it comes to choosing the people whose thoughts and actions will decide the fates of millions, then we suddenly want someone just like us, someone fit to have a beer with, someone down-to-earth—in fact, almost anyone, provided that he or she doesn't seem too intelligent or well educated.

Thankfully, it looks beautifully composed, dark, and edgy with that Neil Gaiman meets "City of Lost Children" meets "Dark City" vibe. According to the trailer website: Franklyn is set between the parallel worlds of contemporary London and the futuristic metropolis of Meanwhile City, and weaves a tale of four

Interesting post on how sitemaps impact the crawlers from Google and Yahoo. It's pretty incredible how fast Google is...
Quoted: Like any other person out there, I fall into habits, good and bad. Recently while working on a client’s website, I created a Sitemap and submitted it to the search engines, like I always do. I started to think if this really helps the site out and what’s the effect when I submit a Sitemap on the site.

I keep getting an error stating the following: We are unable to configure domains at this time. Please try again later. Has anybody else experienced a similar issue? Is there a possibility that this funk is related to the MacWorld
