Obituary: Julius McCoy, a Michigan State football, basketball and track star in the 1950s, died at his home Friday in Harrisburg, Pa. He was 76. McCoy was named MSU's athlete of the year in 1956. He spent 12 years playing in the Eastern Professional Basketball League, in the Continental Basketball Association and with the Harlem Globetrotters. McCoy scored 1,377 points in his three-year basketball career at MSU and is ranked 18th on the Spartans' all-time scoring list.
