Warm days will help. Water twice a week - allow the soil to dry out
between waterings. Just a guess - about 3 weeks to a month when
starting with rhizomes. Watch for purple shoots - they look sort of
    like asparagus.

    First time grower.
I used a rooting hormone. When I get home from work I’ll try to get
more details, such as brand, amount etc.
But I am not a ‘dirt’ grower. I am trying to grow hops
hydroponically. I started about a week ago, so a...

I have a Pinot Grigio that had cleared 1 1/2 months+ ago and is just
passing 5 months old. I’ve been fustrated by it stopping at SG.
of .998. Last week I noticed some lees forming and today I see several
steady streams of bubbles coming off the b...

I’ve received some rhizomes that didn’t appear to have any buds. Has
anyone done any research on what’s required for a root cutting to
throw out some buds? I have too many for the space anyway, so I won’t
    be heart broken if th...

Has anyone bothered to grow their own spruce tree or harvested tips
for a spruce tip ale? I am wondering if there is a dwarf variety that
you can get good flavor from. Thanks for any input.

One of the better methods of heating that I’ve heard is actually
having heating elements in your kettle. Far greater efficiency of
applying heat to the liquid, and you get far more liquid to surface
contact so you don’t have to have the hea...
