We had a little excitement on our train trip to Narita airport yesterday. I've not seen details in the news, but we heard at the time that there was an injury accident or suicide which blocked the line leading to our Tokyo station.
So, rather than take the JR Narita Express from Shinagawa, we had to transfer to the Nippori station on the Yamanote line, and then take the Keisei Railways train to Narita.
It was a little nerve wracking - but thankfully we had our guide, Miwako with us, who was able to quickly get us from one station to the next. We made it to our gate about 1/2 hour before we boarded the plane for Los Angeles!
We heard other people on our plane also say they had to do the same thing to make the flight - so it was a big mess.
