      Interesting post. Even though I'm a Windows user, I think I like the Apple fonts better - more print-like and not as harsh. Print has 100's of years of design behind it; I think the close we get to that on the screen, the better our documents will look. Apple's approach wins out as screen resolutions increase, too.

      Does Apple's approach win out, or does Microsoft's approach (of hand-crafting sub-pixel rendering for anti-aliasing) just become unnecessary. I assume that, at a high enough resolution, both systems would look virtually the same
