I ended up having a horrible experience flying Air Mauritius last year. I used to be a big fan of this airline 5+ years ago, and it was disheartening to see that things have gone downhill very fast.

They are highly unreliable (most flights are delayed or cancelled lately), mainly because their aircrafts are so old.
Their customer service department doesn't handle flight cancellations or delays very well (I'll spare you the long stories).

Other alternatives to fly to Mauritius (from Europe): British Airways, Emirates, Air Austria, Quatar.

I would strongly recommend against booking with Air Mauritius until they get new aircrafts (at the very least).
