Last week, Majesco Europe, Devolver Digital and Croteam announced the revamp and release of Serious Sam onto the Xbox Marketplace. And to make matters even sweeter, this fast paced, run-and-gun medley of mayhem is going to be resurrected in HD.

They are going to add a 4-player co-op mode so you can experience the chaos together. “We are really excited to update our hero and recreate Sam in stunning high definition for Xbox LIVE Arcade players,” said Roman Ribaric, CEO of Croteam. “The fans have lobbied us hard to do this, so we are stoked about bringing Sam back as big, bold and bad as he ever was.”

We will expecting to see Sam this summer on the Arcade marketplace (apparently), not as an xbox original. This means we will also see achievements, which has me wondering what crazy tasks they may have us complete for the 200 Gs.

The game will be 1200 MsP, which I'm sure SS fans would have paid without the revamp, but it looks really sweet in HD. Take a look for yourself:
