- About Me :
- I'm a New Jersian (but apparently only 79% one) born and a New Yorker by domicile.
Let's see, I'm a singer/thespian, who became an engineer (while singing, acting, and studying music) who became a lawyer (also while singing and acting), and now live and work in Manhattan.
I'm an expert (well, not really, but I like to fancy myself one) on coffee, tea (at least where to get the really good stuff), and taylor-made-shirts-from-a-particular-clothier-in-Hong-Kong-that-cost-as-much-as-if-not-less-then-off-the-rack-shirts-in-the-U.S.
By the way, I'm also a huge windbag full of hot air who tends to ramble frequently ... but I'm a lovable one of those. ;-)
Oh, yeah. And Bush sucks. The one in the White House that is.
Go RU! Be sure to watch the game this Saturday.

So, some idiot NYC Councilwoman is trying to "symbolically" ban the words "bitch" and "ho". Apparently, they've already "symbolically" banned the word "nigger". OMG! Freedom of speech anyone? While I find "nigger" to be repulsive, and certain uses of the other two words to be highly offensive, it doesn't change the fact that we have a First Amendment right to freedom of speech. Voltaire said it best when he said "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." In fact, may a U.S. soldier has died for this freedom, which the illustrious Councilwoman is so apt to give away. All I have to say is, "Suck my big fat one lady!" At least none of those words have been banned yet. Friggin' retarded.

Semi-interesting. But the researchers didn't know which ref called each foul. Moreover, the article didn't even say how the researchers discerned the race of the ref that called each foul in the games where the ref team was of mixed race. So, as far as I'm concerned, the study is critically flawed and inconclusive.
Quoted: A study suggests that a racial bias found in other parts of American society also exists on the basketball court.

While we're at it, why don't we just put all the people of Japanese ... I mean, Pakistani descent in internment camps? You think we'd hold on to our freedoms and beliefs more fiercely in light of terrorists trying to destroy, rather than just start handing over our freedoms little by little, until there are none left to give away. You want to require all Briton's obtain visas, fine. But discriminating based on national origin? Why not keep out the Irish for fear they might be connected with the IRA? How about Italians for fear they might be connected to organized crime? I bet either of those ideas would have the white Republicans up in arms.
Quoted: Citing recent terror plots, U.S. officials want to curb the access of British citizens of Pakistani origin to America.

Read this article, as it is completely absurd. People are being jailed and legal residents deported because of basic voter confusion among what appears to be the lesser educated. The number of voter fraud convictions over the last few years seems to be less than 200 total nation wide, not even remotely enough to affect any one federal elected post. All these prosecutions do is scare the uneducated away from the booths for fear that a simple mistake of casting a vote could land them in jail. This use of DOJ discretion is inexcusable. Please vote agains any of your representative (mostly Republican) that support such DOJ actions.
Quoted: The Justice Department has turned up virtually no evidence of any organized effort to skew federal elections.
