Quoted: Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro delivers a unique, richly imagined epic with PAN’S LABYRINTH, a gothic fairytale set against the postwar repression of Franco’s Spain. Harnessing the formal characteristics of classic folklore to a 20th Century landscape, del Toro delivers a timeless tale of good and evil, bravery and sacrifice, love and loss.

Finally got a chance to watch this movie. I'd really been looking forward to it, since I am in love with Clive Owen, and it has a pretty amazing cast. I was also very curious to see a very mainstream movie, that was directed by a, f*** the mainstream, director (Spike Lee).
Overall, it was okay... I had high hopes...so, maybe I was just expecting too much. I wanted a more intricate robbery and escape plan, I guess. It was predictable, which made it a little blah. I wouldn't go as far as calling it boring...just bland. I really expected more from Spike... his movies always seem to have a little Johnny's Seasoning Salt sprinkled on, but this one didn't.
On the upside, the actors you expect the most from, deliver. Clive Owen is perfectly sexy, as always, despite the fact that he wore a mask most of the time.Best line in the film: "Big willy and the twins for you, when I get home."
Quoted: Inside Man is the story of a tough cop, Detective Frazier, who matches wits with a clever bank robber, Dalton, in a tense hostage drama. As the dangerous cat-and-mouse game unfolds, a wild card emerges: Madaline, a power broker with a hidden agenda, who injects even more instability into an already volatile situation.

Follow up to S's dot. This actually looks alright. I like Stallone (really!) so I'm looking forward to this.
Quoted: The greatest underdog story of our time is back for one final round of the Academy Award-winning Rocky franchise. Former heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa steps out of retirement and back into the ring, putting himself against a new rival in a dramatically different era.

This movie is brilliant! It's about a man who begins receiving anonymous packages that include video tapes of himself, and his home, that were shot without his knowledge. He doesn't know who is sending them...and while these tapes are fairly benign, they begin to alarm he and his wife more and more. He eventually believes he knows who is responsible but cannot prove it. This movie is very slow paced, but it is very engaging. From the very beginning you want to know who's responsible, and this keeps you watching. The movie ends up being more about marriage, communication, guilt, and responsibility...basically human emotion and relationships more than the mystery itself but the mystery is resolved...sort of...hehe, oh those French. I have to say, this is the first movie that actually made me gasp out loud, out of complete shock, and also had me looking for the spoiler online after the movie. In the very last scene you'll be thinking to yourself "damn it, not another French movie ending" but pay close attention to the screen. Everything is answered there. I also have to note that the acting was amazing, you can't go wrong with Juliette Binoche and Daniel Autiel.
