We are often required by our clients to ensure that a website works on a particular browser type or version - "because of compatibility" and "to capture a larger audience". This is a valid concern, of course. However, is it really in the best interest of the greater good to develop a website for a non-compliant or out-dated browser? I believe that it is hurting our push towards future technologies that can enable a new, sometimes as yet unknown, way of working on the web.
