Wow. Quite a harsh review. I didn't see anything this bad about that last David Lynch one and it was completely unwatchable. Well, we will always have Wings of Desire.
Quoted: It's well known that once-revered German auteur Wim Wenders doesn't make films like he used to.
...
The director of such cinema classics as "Kings of the Road" (1976), "The American Friend" (1977), "Paris, Texas" (1984) and "Wings of Desire" (1987) hasn't made a decent film since "Buena Vista Social Club," his 1998 documentary on music in Cuba.
...
However, Wenders has reached a new low with "Palermo Shooting," a film of startling and embarrassing banality and, yes, even silliness. One is hard-pressed to imagine any commercial future whatsoever for this film, and a pickup by a U.S. distribution company seems virtually impossible.

This is good news not only because Ian McKellen was a perfect Gandalf but because it seems to imply that Guillermo del Toro is going to keep a similar feel in the Hobbit movies as there was in the first trilogy.
Quoted: British actor Ian McKellen will reprise the role of the wizard Gandalf in the upcoming movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" he told a film magazine.

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid but I'm not sure that it will have the same intensity with The Rock in the remake.
Quoted: Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann, the original kid stars of Disney's 1970s "Witch Mountain" movies, are coming back for the studio's re-imagining of the adventure tales.

I'm glad that Moz took a stand on this issue. It has become too common for the media to misquote celebrities to make a more sensational story.
Quoted: British singer Morrissey won an apology in court on Thursday from the publishers of Word Magazine over suggestions he was a racist and a hypocrite.
