    Endangered sea dragon at Ga. aquarium pregnant - Yahoo! News

    This is FANTASTIC news! The more that we can learn about the right conditions for sea dragons to reproduce in captivity, the less that "pregnant" individuals will need to be taken from the wild.

    Quoted: It's going to be a busy Father's Day for a weedy sea dragon at the Georgia Aquarium. For only the third time ever in a U.S. aquarium, one of the endangered creatures is pregnant. But don't look for the expectant mom in the tank, the dads carry the eggs in this family.

    I had never heard what any of the actual "science" was that the Japanese were purportedly doing with the whales that they killed and ate. I'm not sure that we need test tube whales.

    Very interesting philosophical question for all animals held in captivity ... do you allow behaviors to exist in as natural a state as possible or do you admit that it's a contrived environment and therefore the animal will not be acting naturally anyway ...

    Beloved chimpanzee Washoe dies of natural causes at Central Washington University

    I'm so sad that Washoe has passed away. She was an amazing gal.

    Cute! I hope she does okay. I doubt she'll be able to be released though.
