    Sensor Deprivation - New York Times

    This is fucking ridiculous. Essentially makes it so you have to get an OK from the Police to do science.

    Quoted: A bill drafted by the New York City Council members could stifle the collection of environmental information vital to the public good.

    Quoted: Reducing false alarms may be a worthy purpose, but pushing through this legislation without clearly defining standards and policies doesn’t make sense. For example, the bill defines a biological agent as any microorganism or product of a microorganism that can cause “death, disease or other biological malfunction in a living organism, deterioration or poisoning of food or water, or deleterious alteration of the environment.” Such biological agents flood into local waters when rain storms make sewers overflow. So, conceivably, a high school class wanting to measure the presence of fecal matter in river water would need a license. These definitions are simply too broad to be useful.

    The Webshite :: Nickelback

    Haha, this is awesome. Through your left speaker, it plays Nickelback's How you remind me (2001), and through the right speaker, it plays Someday (2003). They are pretty much the same song.

    God I hate Nickelback.

    Ten minutes of talking has a mental payoff

    Cool

    Quoted: ANN ARBOR, Mich.—Spending just 10 minutes talking to another person can help improve your memory and your performance on tests, according to a University of Michigan study to be published in the February 2008 issue of the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.

    Quoted: "In our study, socializing was just as effective as more traditional kinds of mental exercise in boosting memory and intellectual performance," said Oscar Ybarra, a psychologist at the U-M Institute for Social Research (ISR) and a lead author of the study with ISR psychologist Eugene Burnstein and psychologist Piotr Winkielman from the University of California, San Diego.

    Acclaimed Climate Scientist Describes Al Gore’s Film An Inconvenient Truth As Ridiculous Brainwashing

    Interesting...

    Quoted: Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize, but he has yet to win over all of the scientific community. Dr. William Gray, called Gore’s view of anthropomorphic climate change “ridiculous” and the product of “people who don’t understand how the atmosphere works.” Dr. Gray continued, “We’re brainwashing our children, they’re going to the Gore movie [An Inconvenient Truth] and being fed all this. It’s ridiculous.” The British High Court agrees with Dr. Gray’s view of the film.

    Quoted: Contrary to Al Gore’s view, as expressed in the film An Inconvenient Truth, Dr. Gray is of the opinion that “the human impact on the atmosphere is simply too small to have a major effect on global temperatures.” Furthermore, Dr. Gray is of the opinion that “we’ll look back on all of this in 10 or 15 years and realize how foolish it was.”

    Fashion tips for women from a guy who knows dick about fashion.

    As usual, Maddox writes another halarious article. This one is about women's fashion.

    Quoted: There are very few people who look good in red lipstick, and those people usually juggle for a living. I once met a girl who was able to pull it off, so I let her buy me dinner. Later that night she was making out with my wang, when I realized that all that lipstick was rubbing off. So I evacuated my moan-maker from her face hole, took some silverware for my trouble, and snuck out of her tent.

    Fake Men of Genius - CollegeHumor video

    I haven't dotted in a while, so I figured I would get back into the swing of things with a funny video that makes fun of Notre Dame.
