Frank Miller has done a lot of amazing stuff over the years, and he's a very outspoken advocate of freedom of the comic press. His use of black&white art with usually one color theme (The Babe Wore Red, That Yellow Bastard, etc) is striking. The first scenes of The Matrix remind me of his work. Sin City is a tough place to visit, but worth the trip!
