Oops.
Quoted: Note to Biden. Well-spoken black people hate it when white people call them "articulate." It's the modern-day version of what white people used to say back in the day when they thought that by saying "He's a credit to his race" they were saying something that a black person would welcome hearing.

This was funny and on target... Politics in all its asinine drama... I need a beer...
Quoted: The point wasn't really to convince anyone that she, Bill and Chelsea commute between their two lavish mansions in a five-year-old Ford F-150 pickup with a gun rack and a "Jesus Rocks!" bumper sticker. Her aim was to prove to the nation -- or at least to Democratic primary voters in Pennsylvania and Indiana -- that she's better at feigning regularness than Obama.

One question answered about who will be on the November ballot, anyway. Should be interesting!
Quoted: "If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror," Romney will say...

Something tells me there's not going to be much, if any, green in this President's legacy. But, hey, if the prevailing winds move him to some kind of change, have at it.
Quoted: For years, Bush bristled privately at what he considered sky-is-falling alarmism by the liberal, elitist Hollywood crowd. ... But ever so gradually, they say, Bush's views have evolved.

Quoted: Obama says he's still vetting whether to take up a presidential run. "This is an office you can't run for just on the basis of ambition. You have to feel deep in your gut that you have a vision for the country that is sufficiently important that it needs to be out there," he says, adding that the needs of his family is a top concern.

You must be Mel's friend before you can comment on this Fave. And he had to do it on Black History Month Eve. Um, how do black people feel when bloggers call them "well-spoken" and make across-the-board statements about what they hate (bonus black history lesson included)?
But seriously, this has always annoyed me. It's a particularly pronounced problem in sports broadcasting.
Tell me about it! I hate it when people become offensive to groups in the process of trying to "respect" them. It's like my church. They're having "women's week" in February, when women plan and carry out one service. (I guess every other week of the year is men's week.) Making things even better is the theme of women's week. That's right, tables! Maybe next year it will be mixers and aprons!!!! The worst part is, this is the most liberal church we can find that still believes in the gospel. God, help me before I kill everyone.
Er...tables? Still, no killing.
Drew, I have to agree with you. A theme of tables is probably slightly more Biblical than killing "everyone." Better hope nobody in the Boston police department reads Kruse's Dots or they'll arrest her too.
Some days I think it would be best if I were arrested.
